The powerhouse tradition of Miami Trace Wrestling continued Friday, as they won the Frontier Athletic Conference Championship, with Chillicothe as runner-up.
The Panthers won 8 of the 13 weight classes in the meet.

The Frontier Athletic Conference football coaches have selected their All FAC team. Miami Trace running back Jayden Lebeau is the “FAC Player of the Year”, rushing for over 1,800 yards this season.

The Miami Trace Lady Panthers won the FAC Girls Golf Championship Monday, winning the final league match by two strokes over Chillicothe, who was tied with Miami Trace heading into the season’s final match.
Miami Trace finished with an FAC record of (33-2) with Chillicothe at (30-5). Libby Aleshire of Miami Trace was named FAC Girls Golfer of the Year.
The match medalist for the final match was Chillicothe’s Isabella Fischer with an 87.

Miami Trace won the FAC Girls Golf Match at Hillsboro Elks on Monday evening as they carded a 198.
Chillicothe finished 2nd with a 218, McClain recorded a 233, Hillsboro came in with a 240, and Jackson rounded out the evening with a 264. Washington was unable to field a complete team.
Sharing match medalist honors were Miami Trace senior duo of Libby Aleshire and Alyssa Butler as they each fired a 47.
Some hardware was taken home by several area wrestlers in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championships over the weekend.
Teays Valley and Miami Trace each had two athletes in the top 8, with Westfall and Lancaster each having one wrestler on the medal stand.
In Division 1, Teays Valley’s Camden McDanel was state runner-up in the 182 pound division, while Gunner Havens was 8th place in the 106 pound division.
Jacob Reed of Lancaster finished 4th.
In Division 2, Miami Trace had two medal winners. Graham Carson was 5th in the 170 pound division, while Mcale Callahan was 8th in the 152 pound division.
In Division 3, Westfalls Starr Kelly was state runner-up in the 195 pound division.
