Fresh Produce Drive-Thru Comes To Bainbridge

The event will be at 4988 State Route 50 in Bainbridge. The event will be 10am-11:30am with line up starting at 8:30am.

Tax Prep Volunteers Sought For United Way of Ross County

(Chillicothe) — If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, United Way of Ross County is encouraging you to consider preparing tax returns in your community.

It’s ok if you don’t know that much about taxes. You’ll receive specialized training from an IRS certified VITA/TCE volunteer! Volunteer roles include being a greeter, a reviewer, a tax preparer and more.

Ross County “Stuff The Bus” Scheduled For August 7th

United Way of Ross County will be conduct their annual “Stuff The Bus” outside of Chillicothe Walmart, Saturday August 7th between 10am-2pm.

They will be collecting school supplies in partnership with Project School Tools, Salvation Army, EPIC, Ross County Community Action, Alvis House and many other organizations working together to ensure the students of Ross County have the supplies needed.

Rick Smith Stepping Down As United Way Of Ross County CEO

After a brief year-and-a-half as CEO of United Way of Ross County, Rick Smith says he is stepping down from that post.

Smith came on board with United Way in December 2019 and led them to a successful 2020-21 campaign, despite the limitations posed by the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic.

Rick spoke with Litter Media’s Mike Smith, saying he has enjoyed his time working in Chillicothe, but due to personal family needs, he will be returning to Louisville, Kentucky.

Smith says United Way of Ross County has been able to administer over a half-million dollars in grants for community needs, in the past year.
