Tanks State Tennis Ride Ends in Wooster

Article presented by Litter Quality Propane

The magical run for Unioto’s Lucas Hanes and Mason Thornsberry came to an end in the first round of the Boys Tennis State Tournament at the College of Wooster Thursday.

The Division 2 Doubles Team fell 6-1, 6-1 to Hunting Valley’s Vishwum Kapadia and Rohit Talasila. The Hunting Valley team dropped their next match to Lexington’s Ethan Remy and Dylan Cantanese 6-3, 6-3.

“We played good” Coach Brandon Hanes told Litter Media via text. “Just another level up there. Great experience and great accomplishment.”

The top four places will be decided Friday. Remy-Cantanese will face Columbus Academy’s Lucas Xue and Rowen Lo while Cincinnati Indian Hills’ RJ Poffenberger and Neelan Gandhi plays the Pepper Pike Ridge duo of Gabi Kalir and Ace Bloom.
