Teays Valley’s Kennedy Younkin Commits To East Tennessee State For College Basketball

Teays Valley High School senior Kennedy Younkin made her Division 1 college basketball selection on Litter Media LIVE Special Edition Thursday morning (8/10/23). The 6’0 forward/center commitmented to attend East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Her Lady Vikings Basketball Coach (and dad), Trevor Younkin, shared what the recruiting experience before revealing she’s chosen East Tennessee State University.

Kennedy said she received interest from more than one dozen schools, but selected ETSU over Kent State University, after narrowing choices down to a couple of schools. Younkin wants to major in engineering.

At Teays Valley, Kennedy is preparing to play her senior year in volleyball, as well as basketball and possibly event track and field.
