Ross County Auditor Jeff Lehner on Litter Media LIVE

Tentative 2026 Ross County Property Values Available Online

Article Presented By Hometown-Motors, Inc.

(Chillicothe) – Ross County Auditor Jeff Lehner today announced that tentative 2026 Ross County property values are available for viewing at the Auditor’s website: https://auditor.rosscountyohio.gov

“This is the next step in our process to comply with the Ohio Department of Taxation’s mandates for our 2025 reappraisal while ensuring an equitable aggregate valuation, including market appropriate commercial values, for Ross County,” Lehner said.

To view tentative 2026 values, Ross County propertyowners can visit the Auditor’s website and look up their parcels using either the Quick- or Advanced search option.  From there, users can scroll to the “Valuation” section at the parcel’s page.  2026 (Tax Year 2025) values are highlighted in yellow for easy viewing.

Ross County Auditor’s office representatives will host informal valuation review meetings by appointment the week of September 22, both by phone and in-person.  Additional information regarding these appointments, including sign-up link, are found on the Auditor’s website homepage and at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/rosscounty

Lehner stressed the importance of understanding that these are tentative values: “These values represent our first pass through the state’s mandates for total valuation increases according to market sales data over the last three years.  I strongly encourage every Ross County taxpayer who wants to discuss their proposed 2026 value to reach out, and we will ensure everybody who wants one receives a fair hearing as we move toward final adoption later this year.”

Ross County residents with questions are encouraged to call the Auditor’s real estate office at 740-702-3080, option 2 or E-mail: JeffLehner@RossCountyOhio.gov
