Circleville fans have had their minds on the success of the Tigers Girls Basketball team this season, but their focus has turned to something bigger than the game… the health of Addison Edgington.
Edgington, Circleville’s freshman star and leading scorer, was one of three persons injured in a car accident Friday evening. Edgington reportedly sustained serious injuries and is said to be recovering at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The Circleville Athletic Boosters have begun a Venmo fund to help raise monies to help cover the costs for Edgington’s care. For those without access to Venmo, the CAB posted on its social media, checks could be made “payable to Circleville Athletic Boosters, and we will get it to the family, or Megan Edgington, Addison’s mom.”
Renee McIilroy told Litter Media “We will continue to take donations for the family to help with all the unexpected expenses that occur during such uncharted times.”
Due to the accident, Saturday’s game at Teays Valley has been postponed, and will be rescheduled for a date to be determined.
