
Unioto Boys & Girls Sweep 2025 SVC Cross Country Championships on the Meets 50th Anniversary

Unioto Boys and Girls swept the 50th SVC Cross Country Championships at Adena High School Saturday. Westfall Boys and Adena Girls were runner-ups.
The SVC Boys Cross Country Meet commenced in 1975 at Zane Trace High School, where the annual meet remained until 2005, when it moved to a school rotation basis after that. The first SVC girls meet was held in 1981.

For the Unioto Boys, they hold the all-time SVC Cross Country record of 24 SVC crowns and now have claimed 11 in a row. Unioto Girls have 13 titles and its their 5th straight.
The boys individual champion is Unioto’s Caleb Caplinger in a time of 16:44.7 while runner-up went to William Lynch at 17:05.1. The Shermans’ team effort was dominate as they took the top 9 places.

The girls individual champion is Cameron Walker of Unioto in a time of 19:28.7 while Adena’s Vanessa Conley was second in 20:08.8.
The junior high boys champ is Unioto, followed by Westfall.Braxton Ward of Zane Trace was the top individual boys finisher in the junior high meet at 12:09.2 with Hudson Park of Unioto second. The girls junior high team champ is also Unioto with runner-up Paint Valley. The individual girls champ is Aubrey Johnston with a time of 13:18.7 while Kiya Weaver of Paint Valley was second.
