After both teams traded early leads to start the game, Unioto quickly took control thanks to their relentless defensive pressure and up-tempo offense. The Lady Shermans led 23-10 after one quarter, 39-23 at halftime, 56-31 after three and the final of 69-42.

Unioto’s offensive scoring balance was on display for all to see as four players were in double figures, and a fifth was within one point of that. Super freshman Milee Smith led all players with 19 points, Alexis Book had 13, Magnolia Holbert 12, Amelia Uhrig 10, Addison Mohan 9 and Ameris Betts added 6.

Adena was led by Sydney Ater’s 11 points, while Emma Garrison was held to only 9 points. Caroline Corcoran added 7 points and Kiera Williams 6. Four other Adena players combined to score 9 points.

The Lady Shermans improve to (13-0/19-0) and could claim the SVC Gold Basketball with a win Saturday. They also have two non conference games to play before they take their #2 seed into Division 2 tournament play the following week.

Adena drops to (11-2/16-4). The Lady Warriors also conclude their conference schedule Saturday and are a #5 seed in Division 3 tournament play.
