Valley Roars To 33-0 Season Opening Win at Paint Valley

Article Presented By Kingston National Bank…

The Valley Indians got out of the gate quickly Friday night in their 2025 opener at Paint Valley, scoring on the first two possessions of the first and second half in a 33-0 shutout over the Bearcats.

Senior running back Anthony Aaron led the Indians offensive attack behind their big front line, rushing for 181 yards on 18 carries, while also scoring three touchdowns to earn the Litter Media Radio “McDonald’s Player of the Game.”

Aaron’s TD runs came on runs of 3, 20, and 20 yards. He credited the Indians’ Offensive Line for creating opportunities for him. “That’s all I needed was them. I thank the O-Line for staying patient. I just gotta make them (opponents) miss. If they think I’m goin’ outside, I’m gonna go inside… makin’ them miss.”

Other Indians’ scores came on a 6 yard pass from Hunter Cunningham to Nick Queen and a 35 yard scoring strike from Cunningham to Lex Logan.

Valley racked up 370 total yards in the victory, while holding Paint Valley to 111 total yards.

The Bearcats longest offensive drive of the contest was a 10 play drive that started on their own 35 and ended on downs inside the Valley 35 on the second possession of the game. They were forced to punt on all five of their second half possessions on three-and-outs.

Paint Valley (0-1) heads to Athens (1-0) next week at Joe Burrow Stadium while Valley (1-0) prepares for its home opener with Fayetteville (0-1).
