Vance Named Ross Park District Executive Director

(Chillicothe) – The Ross County Park District is pleased to announce that Myranda Vance, a long-time employee of the Park District, has been appointed as its new Executive Director. “I’m honored and excited for the opportunity to serve our community in this capacity,” Ms Vance commented.

In January  2023, Woody Woodward, Executive Director of the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA), launched a nationwide search to fill the Ross County Park District’s top leadership position, which resulted in a pool of well-qualified candidates. After the interview process was completed, Mr. Woodward sent a recommendation letter to the commissioners advocating for Ms. Vance to be chosen for the position and stated, “Myranda cares deeply about the Park District and about Ross County. She is, in my view, the most outstanding candidate for this position.”

Ms. Vance’s role as Executive Director became effective on April 20th, 2023.
