Vinton County Air Show Celebrates 50th Year

(McArthur) — A half century of hosting local air shows will be observed with this year’s Vinton County Air Show at the Vinton County Airport.

The 50th annual event on September 26th is sponsored by the Vinton County Pilots & Boosters Association.

The air show features some of the best acrobatic planes and pilots from across Ohio.

This year’s show also includes radio-controlled planes and a demonstration of model rockets. The Screaming Chicken Sky Diving Team will open and close the air show, and Santa Claus is also expected to drop in for a kids Candy Drop.

The free air show begins at 1pm, but the Association asks for $10 donation for parking, with the money used to help fund the airport.
