Vinton County Vikings Dominate in 71-33 Victory Over Golden Rockets

Vinton County took the court against the the Wellston Golden Rockets on Friday night.

Immediately, the game went in favor of the Vikings, who led the game 7-0 after just two minutes of play. By the end of the first quarter, and with the help of 14 points from Hayden Reynolds, the Vikings were up 24-5.

At the half, the game was 47-15 with Vinton County still well in the lead. The second half was played with a running clock and saw a score of 60-20 after the third quarter, and a final score of 71-33 after a late dunk by Ian Mohler.

Hayden Reynolds of Vinton County had the most points of the night, with 21. Cobra Sharp and Matt Hembree had 14 and 12 respectively.

Of Wellston, Wes Briggs led the team with 16 of their 33 points.

The Vikings advance to (6-0/11-2), while the Golden Rockets fall to (2-4/2-8).
