Washington Court House To Provide Info Card On Proposed Income Tax

(Washington CH) – An informational postcard is now available to help Washington Court House residents and employees understand the details of the proposed income tax levy ahead of the August 5th election.

The 2/10ths of one percent municipal income tax proposal will fund street paving, parks, and trails. This tax does not increase the current rate. If approved by voters, the rate will remain at 1.95%. The tax would only apply to earned and rental income. Social Security and retirement income are not taxed.

A proposal will appear on the the August 5th, 2025 ballot.
