Washington Girls/Zane Trace Boys Win RL Davisson Invitational Track & Field Meet

The Washington Lady Blue Lions were tops among a field of 17 schools while Zane Trace Boys were number one among 20 teams in the Annual RL Davission Invitational Track & Field Invitational at Southeastern High School Thursday evening.
Washington Girls took first place with 100.5 points with McClain second at 97 points. Zane Trace Boys won the team title with 87.2 points, with Washington second at 75 points.
Five new meet records were set, with two coming from Waverly’s Mitch Green. He shattered standards in both the boys 3200 run at 9:51.36 and the 1600 run at 4:24.29. Logan Elm’s Tayla Tootle set a new pole vault record at 12-06 feet. Sophia Szolosi of Athens set a new 16 record at 5:17.41. Cole Hesler of North Adams set a new 400 dash record at 50.86.
