Waverly’s Morrison, Lamerson/Nibert Fall In State Tournaments

Waverly’s Boys Tennis state tournament trio bowed-out of action Friday at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

Penn Morrison, playing in his third state tournament, won his opening singles match 6-1/6-0 against Gabe Guiler of Pepper Pike Orange. Morrison fell in the second round 7-5/6-3 to Tucker Culpepper of Xenia Legacy Christian.

The Waverly doubles team of Wayne Lamerson/Caden Nibert lost to Ace Bloom/Krish Mehra of Pepper Pike Orange in first round play, 6-0/6-0.
