WCH Sets Up FAC Title Game With Win at Chillicothe

Washington CH built up a 17-0 lead over Chillicothe Friday, then beat-back a furious Chillicothe fourth quarter rally that saw the score cut to 17-14, before the Blue Lions picked up some insurance points for a 24-14 win at Chillicothe.
The Blue Lions scored at 5.6 remaining in the first quarter after WCH recovered a Cavs fumble inside the 10 yard line. Troy Thompson connected with Tanner Lemaster on a TD pass. The PAT was good by RJ Foose, giving WCH a 7-0 start.
That went to 14-0 at 9:32 of the 2nd quarter when Thompson again connected with Lemaster on a 12 yard scoring pass. The PAT was good.
WCH took a 17-0 lead at 4:55 of the second quarter when Foose hit a 26 yard field goal. The Cavs coughed up a chance to score late in the first half when they mishandled a 4th & goal at the WCH 1 yard line with 2:12.

The Cavs got their first score at 11:43 remaining in the game when Mason Doughty threw 26 yards to Tayvion Galloway. The Mason Siberell PAT was good, cutting the WCH lead to 17-7.
The Cavs cut the deficit to 17-14 at 10:01 of the final period, when Mason Doughty found Tre King from 5 yards for the TD pass. The PAT was good. WCH 17, CHS 14.
Washington CH put the game away at 9:47 of the fourth when Aden Jones ran 71 yards for the score. The PAT was good for the final score of WCH 24, CHS 14.
WCH had 346 total yards compared to Chillicothe’s 326. CHS had 5 turnovers, which was a key in the loss.
Washington CH travels to Jackson in what could be for the FAC title, as both are unbeaten in FAC play. Chillicothe travels to Hillsboro, needing a win and hope that Jackson beat WCH, in order for a possible Chillicothe win vs Jackson in Week 10 could give CHS a share of the FAC title.
