Registration is now open for the October 4th, 2025 Fall Women’s Walk in the Woods at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary. The walk goes from 10am-4pm.
The Highlands Nature Sanctuary for the Arc of Appalachia’s Fall Women’s Walk in the Woods is a volunteer-led event for women of all ages and backgrounds to relax, connect, and immerse in nature’s beauty.
The day kicks off at the Appalachian Forest Museum with featured speaker Jamie Fearon, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, who will share insights on the Geology of the Rocky Fork Gorge Region, an area known for its rich biodiversity and stunning natural features.
After the talk, The women will enjoy a bring-your-own picnic lunch, then head out for a scenic fall hike through the Highlands Nature Sanctuary.
Registration is $20.
