Adena Health to Host Fight Back 5K Supporting Cancer Care June 27

CHILLICOTHE, OH (April 30, 2026) – Cancer impacts thousands of individuals and families across south central and southern Ohio each year, making access to compassionate, high-quality care close to home more important than ever.

With that in mind, the Adena Health Foundation will host a Fight Back 5K cancer run/walk on Saturday, June 27, bringing together community members, survivors, Adena caregivers, and supporters to raise funds for local cancer care.

WHAT: Fight Back 5K cancer run/walk

WHEN: Saturday, June 27. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; The race begins at 9 a.m.

WHERE: The Ross County Fairgrounds, located at 344 Fairgrounds Road, Chillicothe

WHO: Open to all

COST: $40 (includes event t-shirt); $20 (run/walk only).

Proceeds from the event directly support cancer care, programs, and patient services at Adena.

The Fight Back 5K is a colorful, community-centered event inspired by the many cancer awareness ribbons, representing the patients and families impacted by cancer. Participants are encouraged to run or walk at their own pace, making the event accessible to all ages and experience levels.

In addition to the 5K, pre-race activities will include vendor booths, survivor recognitions, and guest speakers. A post-race community celebration will follow through noon with live music, food trucks, and raffle items.

Individuals can register to participate or form teams with coworkers, friends, and family members. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for organizations looking to support cancer care in the community while gaining visibility before, during, and after the event.
