Adena Mansion & Gardens hosts America 250 Celebration: Visitors Step Back in Time
Article presented by Herlihy Moving & Storage and Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Nathaniel Massie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has teamed with the Ohio History Connection and Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau to create a Revolutionary Family Experience this Saturday and Sunday at Adena Mansion and Gardens in Chillicothe.
Visitors will step back in time to the 18th century to experience artillery demonstrations, musket and rifle drills, soldiers’ kit presentations and period military music.
America 250 Chairperson, Terressa Reep told Litter Media “No one is doing a stand up presentation where you have to sit down and listen to a lecture. There’ll be a rope maker, beer making, muskets, there’s a canon, colonial military is going to have a huge presentation, Benjamin Franklin will be there.”
Reep adds there a something for all ages and it’s free. However, there will be food trucks with items available for purchase.
Events begin Saturday at 10am including Unit Drill and Rifle/Musket demonstration and additional artillery demonstrations at 12pm and 4pm. More military demonstrations at 2pm and 3pm on Sunday.
See the complete schedule below and the Litter Media interview with Adena Mansion & Gardens Executive Director Patrick Quackenbush for additional details.
Happy Birthday America!
