Washington CH – Fayette County Public Health is inviting residents of all ages to kick off the summer with a free afternoon in the park.

Picnic in the Park will be held Monday, June 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eyman Park (Splash Pad Side) in Washington Court House. The event is free and open to the entire community.

Attendees can expect free food while supplies last, community resource tables, games, activities, and a Wellness Walk. A Community Passport feature will give participants a chance to visit each table and enter for prizes.

The event is presented by Fayette County Public Health, Help Me Grow, Community Action Commission, Pathways 2 Recovery, and community partners.

“This is about making it easy and fun for Fayette County families to connect with community resources and take a step toward healthier living,” said Missy Smith, public information officer. “We want people to come out, enjoy the summer, and leave knowing what resources are available to them.”

Picnic in the Park is free to attend. No registration is required.

Community agencies interested in hosting a table and potential sponsors who would like to make a monetary donation or donate a prize can call Missy at 740-335-5910 or visit https://fcphevents.com/2026.
