Kenworth Truck Parade Returns June 13 to Light Up Downtown Chillicothe

Article Presented By Kingston National Bank…

Chillicothe, OH — The streets of historic downtown Chillicothe will thunder to life on Thursday, June 13 at 8:45 p.m. as the 4th Annual Kenworth Truck Parade rolls in—bigger, brighter, and more patriotic than ever. This year’s parade features 54 spectacular trucks, celebrating two major milestones: America 250 and 50 years of the iconic Kenworth Aerodyne design.

Drivers from 23 states—including Oregon, Texas, South Dakota, Florida, and many proud Ohioans—are making the journey to participate in what has become known nationwide as the world’s best truck parade. Their commitment to this event not only showcases their passion for the Kenworth legacy but also fuels travel and tourism throughout Ross County.

Among this year’s lineup, spectators can expect to see:

  • A standout Ohio State–themed truck
  • Multiple patriotic designs honoring America’s upcoming 250th anniversary
  • A dazzling variety of custom rigs representing the craftsmanship and pride of drivers across the country

A Community-Wide Celebration
Downtown Chillicothe businesses have embraced the excitement, proudly displaying handcrafted clay truck banks donated by Nellie Dog Pottery. These banks can be found at: Globe Furniture, Printex, HotWorx, Paper City Coffee, The Coop, E.M. Smith Jewelers, The Lunch Box, Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce, and The Elks. This new addition has sparked community engagement and added a creative, local flair to the festivities.

The parade remains a cherished collaboration between Kenworth and United Way of Ross County, serving as a summer highlight and a powerful driver of community pride. Funds raised through associated activities support United Way programs that uplift Ross County’s most vulnerable neighbors, ensuring resources are stewarded responsibly and transparently.

A Free Event for All Ages
The community is warmly invited to line the streets of downtown Chillicothe for this free, family-friendly event. Many local businesses will remain open during the parade, offering food, snacks, beverages, and extended shopping to welcome visitors and residents alike.

Following the parade, attendees can enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring performer Blaine Bunting, adding the perfect finishing touch to an evening of celebration, community, and American spirit.
