Locals Fair Well in OHSAA Middle School State Track & Field Meet

Several local track and field athletes participated in the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s 7th & 8th Grade State Championship Saturday at Hillard Darby High School.
Top performers included Wheelersburg’s Jack Doerr, placing 2nd in the Boys High Jump and 6th in the Boys Long Jump, Wheelersburg’s Girls 4×400 Relay placing 2nd, Unioto’s 4×800 Relay team, taking 3rd place. Brayden Harsha, Rudy Leadingham, Corby Scott and Boone Fout teamed for the relay.
Also hitting top five performances was Southeastern’s Jia Jun Wilbanks, who placed third in the Seated Throw and fourth in the 100 Meter Dash and Joseph Scott of Piketon, placing 4th in the Boys Discus.
Paint Valley’s Makayla Tennant placed 6th in the Shot Put.
