Nominations Open for the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame
Article presented by Rathkamp Financial …
The deadline to submit nominations for the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame is approaching, and we invite you to help highlight former service members who are making significant, positive impacts across our communities.
The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame honors individuals who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and who, after their military careers, have demonstrated exceptional commitment to public service, volunteerism, advocacy, professional excellence, or philanthropy. Each year, up to 20 veterans are selected for induction based on recommendations from an Executive Committee of veterans from across the state and with final approval from the Governor.
The nomination deadline for the Class of 2026 is June 1, 2026.
We encourage early submissions to support timely processing and to allow for a complete and thorough review of all eligible nominations.
Many Ohioans know a veteran who continues to serve selflessly, someone whose dedication to others did not end when their military service concluded. Nominations are also accepted posthumously to honor veterans whose legacies continue to inspire.
To be eligible, nominees must:
- Be a past or current Ohio resident
- Have received an honorable discharge
- Be of good moral character

The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame is a distinguished tribute recognizing achievements that extend far beyond military duty. Induction into the Hall of Fame is a meaningful way to say, “Thank you for your service to our nation, and thank you for your continued service to our communities.”
Again, all nomination materials must be submitted by June 1, 2026.
