Public Comment Period Open for Shawnee State Forest Culvert Replacement

CHILLICOTHE – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a culvert replacement project in Shawnee State Forest in Scioto County.
SCI-Shawnee SF Culvert (122515) It is proposed to replace two culverts on SF9 in Shawnee State Forest.
SF9 will be closed for the duration of the project. The detour will be SF9 to SF2 to SF1 to SF9.
The project will not require new right-of-way.
No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
The funding for the project is 100% State. The environmental commitment date is 7/1/2026. The project is currently expected to be awarded 2/8/2027.
