PIKETON, OH – The Southern Ohio Cleanup Company (SOCCo) continues its dedication to supporting local education with this year’s scholarship program. Students from Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Jackson counties were awarded $1,000 scholarships to pursue an education in a field related to science, technology, engineering, arts or math (STEAM).

Eastern High School’s Brewer Tomlison was one of nine students who received a SOCCo STEAM scholarship this year.

“These students have shown tremendous academic achievement throughout their high school careers, and we hope this scholarship will help them continue their success in the next chapter of their educational journey,” said SOCCo President and CEO Pat Timbes.

The Southern Ohio Cleanup Company’s STEAM scholarship is open to students in Pike, Ross, Jackson and Scioto counties who will graduate with a minimum 3.0 grade average and plan to study in a STEAM-related field.
