SOCCo Supports United Fund of Jackson’s Annual Campaign

JACKSON, OH – The United Fund of Jackson is a lifeline for nearly two dozen charities in the county, and this month they received a $5,000 donation from the Southern Ohio Cleanup Company (SOCCo) to continue their work.
“Making a donation to groups like the United Fund of Jackson is a great way to ensure a wide variety of non-profits in the community are receiving much needed funds to continue their work to build better communities,” said SOCCO President and CEO Pat Timbes.
The United Fund of Jackson is a locally based organization made up of a board of Jackson County residents, five each from Jackson, Wellston, and Oak Hill.
“Our goal is to make sure the organizations we support are directly impacting the lives of those in our community,” said Board Treasurer Clayton Jones. “With the variety of non-profits we support, every citizen of Jackson County benefits from one of more of these agencies, either personally, or through a family member.”
The agencies include everything from food banks, 4-H, recreational groups, art councils, the American Red Cross, and Boy Scouts. For more information about acquiring a grant from SOCCo, please visit www.teamsocco.com.
