The New Pickaway County Visitor Guide Is Here

Article presented by Pickaway Ross Career & Technology Center Adult Education

The Pickaway County Visitors Bureau (PCVB) is excited to announce the release of the new 2026–2027 Explore Pickaway Official Visitor Guide, a comprehensive resource designed to inspire visitors, support local businesses, and share the story of Pickaway County with travelers throughout Ohio and the Midwest. The new guide features attractions, outdoor recreation, restaurants, shopping, events, lodging, arts and culture, and community experiences from across the county.

More than a travel publication, the guide serves as an invitation to discover the people, places, and traditions that make Pickaway County a unique destination.

“It is one of the most visible ways we tell the story of Pickaway County,” said Elizabeth Furniss, Executive Director of the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau. “From the Circleville Pumpkin Show and the Pickaway County Fair to local parks, historic sites, shops, and restaurants, the guide highlights the experiences that contribute to the county’s growing visitor economy. Every page welcomes guests to spend more time exploring a place we call home.”

The Visitors Bureau distributes thousands of guides throughout Ohio and the surrounding region. Distribution locations include Ohio Tourism Information Centers, visitor centers, hotels, travel shows, community organizations, local businesses, and direct requests from prospective travelers seeking information about the area. A digital version is also available online, providing year-round access to visitors planning future trips.

Tourism continues to play an important role in Pickaway County’s economy. According to Tourism Economics, visitor spending generates a total economic impact of $209.7 million supporting 1,552 jobs and generating $26.3 million in tax revenue in Pickaway County.

Many people recognize the Visitors Bureau through publications like the visitor guide, but the organization’s work extends far beyond printing brochures. The Pickaway County Visitors Bureau promotes the county as a destination, supports local tourism-related businesses, develops marketing campaigns, maintains Pickaway.com and the Discover Pickaway mobile app, provides visitor information services, attends travel shows, creates promotional content, and works with community partners to attract visitors and encourage overnight stays.

By connecting travelers with local experiences, the Bureau helps generate economic activity that benefits restaurants, retailers, lodging providers, event organizers, and other businesses throughout the county.

“The guide represents a collaborative effort between local businesses, photographers, community organizations, attractions, and tourism partners,” Furniss said. “Their participation helps us share authentic stories and create a resource that encourages visitors to experience Pickaway County like a local.”

Free copies of the 2026–2027 Explore Pickaway Official Visitor Guide are available at the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau, 325 West Main Street in Circleville, and at distribution locations throughout the region. Visitors may also request a guide or view the digital edition at Pickaway.com.
