The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in the area next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

ROSS COUNTY

NEW* S.R. 41 Culvert Replacement- S.R. 41 will be closed starting September 13 for a culvert replacement. The closure will be between Massie Run Road and U.S. 50,  traffic will be detoured via U.S. 50 to S.R. 763 to S.R. 41. Estimated Completion: September 17

State Route 104 Resurfacing – Work is set to resume on this project starting August 16. S.R. 104 will be reduced to one lane near Pennyroyal Road for the duration of the project. Traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Estimated completion: Summer 2021

Scioto Trail State Park Resurfacing- Forest Road 1 and Forest Road 4 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 5 PM starting at the intersection of S.R. 372 and Stoney Creek Road, ending near the intersection of Stoney Creek Road and Lake Road. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

U.S. 35 Slip Repair – U.S. 35 Westbound will be reduced to one lane west of Richmond Dale starting June 7. U.S. 35 Eastbound traffic will be unaffected by this construction. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

PIKE COUNTY

Beaver Pike Bridge Replacement – Beaver Pike will be closed starting August 23 for a bridge replacement between the intersection with Buck Hollow Rd and Vulgamore Dr. The assigned detour is to head West on Beaver Pike to S.R. 335, West on S.R. 32 to Red Hollow Road. Estimated Completion: Fall 2021

Watson Road Slide Repair – Watson Road will be reduced to one lane between Mutton Run Road and the Ross County line starting July 27. Traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Estimated Completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 32/Shyville Road Intersection Improvement – S.R. 32 is reduced to one lane in each direction immediately east and west of the Shyville Road intersection. As of July 21, The project has moved into the final phase of construction and the median is closed. There are no left turn movements at the intersection during this phase of construction. There are also no straight through movements for traffic on Shyville Road. The traffic signals are  currently running in flash mode. The new U-turn lanes are now open to traffic and can be used to navigate the intersection. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 335 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 335 will experience shoulder closures and intermittent lane restrictions daily from 7 AM to 5 PM  near the intersection with Mill Street in Omega starting June 28. Starting July 19, S.R. 335 will be reduced to one lane for the duration of construction. Traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

Germany Road Slide Repair – Project to repair an existing slide on Germany Road between Dutch Run Road and Millstone Road. The road will be closed for the duration of construction. Work is scheduled to begin May 17. Traffic will be detoured via Adams Road, Red Hollow Road, and Coal Dock Road. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

HIGHLAND COUNTY

NEW* City of Hillsboro U.S. 50 Sidewalk Upgrade – This project will install new pedestrian facilities along U.S. 50 inside the city of Hillsboro between the intersection of Willetsville Pike and West Main Street and the intersection of Greystone Drive and Chillicothe Avenue. Work will occur daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers as needed. Estimated completion: Winter 2021

S.R. 134 Resurfacing – S.R. 134 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 7 PM starting June 7. Remaining work is taking place along the route between U.S. 50 and the village of Lynchburg. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 41 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 41 will be reduced to one lane between Brushcreek Road and Strait Creek Road starting June 21. Traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 28/S.R. 138/S.R. 753 Resurfacing – Principal construction on this project has been completed. Remaining work includes bridge joints and reflective pavement markers. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers as needed. Estimated completion: Summer 2021

SCIOTO COUNTY

UPDATED* Scioto Riverfront Multi-Use Path – Starting August 26, Front Street will be reduced to one lane between Washington Street and the U.S. Grant Bridge with traffic moving Eastbound only. This configuration is planned to be in place for the next 4-6 weeks. Traffic seeking to exit Shawnee State University Campus will need to use Waller Street on the east side of campus during this time. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

NEW* U.S. Grant Bridge Annual Inspection- The U.S. Grant Bridge will experience shoulder closures for two days for annual inspection Starting on August 31. Traffic in each direction will be maintained during this work. Estimated completion: September 1

NEW* S.R. 335/S.R. 348 Chip Seal – Work is set to begin on a chip seal resurfacing project on S.R. 335 and S.R. 348 starting August 16. Affected routes will experience daily lane closures between 7 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. S.R. 335 – Between Piketon Road and the Pike County Line S.R. 348 – Between the village of Otway and Pleasant Hill Drive
Estimated completion: Fall 2021

NEW* U.S. 23 Erosion Control – U.S. 23 Southbound will be reduced to one lane south of the intersection with Old Scioto Trail starting August 17. U.S. 23 Northbound traffic may be reduced to one lane intermittently for this construction. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

NEW* U.S. Grant Bridge Annual Inspection- The U.S. Grant Bridge will experience shoulder closures from 8 AM to 3:30 PM for two days for annual inspection Starting on August 31. Traffic will be maintained in each direction during the inspection.Estimated completion: September 1 by 3:30 PM

NEW* S.R. 139 Tree Trimming – S.R. 139 will be closed daily from 7 AM to 5 PM for ten days between Kenro Road near Minford and S.R. 32 in Jackson County starting August 19. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 335 to S.R. 32. There will be no restrictions outside of working hours. Estimated completion: September 1 by 5 PM

S.R. 348 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 348 will be closed for 45 days starting July 19between Henley Comstock Road and Mt. Hope Road. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 104 and S.R. 73. Estimated completion: Summer 2021

U.S. 23/Feurt Hill Road Intersection Improvement – Feurt Hill Road is now open in both directions with no restrictions. The shoulder of U.S. 23 Southbound is closed. U.S. 23 may experience temporary lane restrictions, with at least one lane in each direction maintained at all times.  Estimated completion: Fall 2021

ADAMS COUNTY

NEW* S.R. 73 Double Culvert Replacement – S.R. 73 will be closed for three days immediately west of the intersection with S.R. 41 starting September 20 at 7:30 AM. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 41, S.R. 32, S.R. 247, and S.R. 770. Estimated completion: September 22 by 3:30 PM 

U.S. 52/S.R. 247 Resurfacing – U.S. 52 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Saturday between the village of Manchester and Brush Creek Road. This project will also resurface a small portion of S.R. 247 between U.S. 52 and the Ohio River. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 32 Resurfacing – S.R. 32 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Tranquility Pike and S.R. 73 starting April 5. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

BROWN COUNTY

Brown County Bridge Sealing Project – This project will perform work to seal bridges along various routes in Brown County, including S.R. 32, U.S. 62, and U.S. 68. Traffic on the affected routes will be maintained with no closures. Two-lane routes will be maintained using flaggers or temporary signals as needed. Traffic on four-lane routes will be maintained using temporary lane closures. Estimated completion: Winter 2021.

S.R. 221 Slide Repair – 
S.R. 221 will be closed 1.5 miles south of Georgetown starting September 7. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 221 to S.R. 125 to S.R. 505 to U.S. 52 and then back to S.R. 221. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 125 Resurfacing – 
S.R. 125 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 5 PM between Gillette Station Road and the Clermont County Line starting August 30. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

U.S. 52 Slide Repair – 
Principal construction on this project has been completed. Final work will be performed using intermittent lane closures as needed. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 774 Bridge Replacement – 
Principal construction on this project has been completed and the road has reopened. Final work will be performed using intermittent lane closures as needed. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 505 Culvert Replacement – Principal construction on this project has completed and the road has reopened. Final work will be performed with intermittent lane closures. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers as needed. Estimated completion: Summer 2021

S.R. 774 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 774 will be closed immediately west of U.S. 68 at the entrance to Grant Lake State Park beginning June 21. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 68 and S.R. 125. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

JACKSON COUNTY

City of Jackson S.R. 93/S.R. 139 Resurfacing – Starting August 29, there will be overnight lane closures in the City of Jackson for a resurfacing project on S.R. 93 and S.R. 139. Lane restrictions will occur nightly from 8 PM to 6 AM, with traffic maintained using flaggers.
S.R. 93: Between Four Mile Road and S.R. 32
S.R. 139: Between Jackson High School and Broadway Street
Estimated completion: Fall 2021

LAWRENCE COUNTY

Oakley Collins Bridge Annual Inspection – Starting September 13, the Oakley Collins Bridge will be closed for two days to complete the annual inspection of the structure. Closures will occur daily from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. During periods of closure, traffic will be detoured via U.S. 52 to the Ashland Twin Bridges to U.S. 23 in Kentucky.Estimated completion: September 14 by 3:30 PM

U.S. 52 Bridge Repair and Maintenance – This project will perform various maintenance and repair work to several bridges along U.S. 52 starting April 1. Traffic will be maintained in one, 10-foot lane in each direction of U.S. 52 throughout construction. As of August 9, the ramp from U.S. 52 Eastbound to S.R. 93 will be closed for 21 Days. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 52 Eastbound to the S.R. 141 Interchange then return U.S. 52 Westbound to S.R. 93. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 243 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 243 will be reduced to one lane between Mckinney Creek Road and Bonnie Drive starting June 14. Traffic will be maintained in one lane throughout construction using temporary signals. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 775 Double Bridge Replacement – S.R. 775 is closed immediately south of the intersection with C.R. 64 (Venisonham-Camp Branch Road). Construction of the north bridge has been completed. Traffic is being detoured via S.R. 141, S.R. 378, and S.R. 217.  Estimated completion: Fall 2021

State Route 7 rockslide remediation – S.R. 7 southbound between Buffalo Creek Road and Tallow Ridge Road my experience short term temporary lane closures for remaining work. Principal construction has been completed and most of the work zone has been removed. Estimated completion: 2021



PICKWAY COUNTY

SR 316 at London Rd. on the west end of Darbyville will close starting Monday, August 2 through Monday, August 30 for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 316 to SR 56 to SR 104 to SR 316 or reverse.

City of Circleville Resurfacing – U.S. 22 within the city of Circleville will have daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) through September 2021 for resurfacing.

U.S. Route 62 Bridge Replacement – The U.S. 62 bridge over Deer Creek is closed through September 2021 for bridge replacement. Detour: U.S. 62 to I-71 to SR 56 to U.S. 62 or reverse.

FAYETTE COUNTY

Culvert Replacements- SR 729 at SR 323 in Madison County and SR 729 between McKillip Rd. and Carrs Mill-Jamestown Rd. in Fayette County will close starting Monday, August 23 through Friday, September 10 for culvert replacements. Detour: SR 729 to SR 323 to SR 41 to SR 729 or reverse.
