Adena Summer Volley In The Village Turns 30

Sixteen varsity high school volleyball teams from around Ohio will be in Frankfort on Saturday, June 24th for the 30th Annual Adena Summer Volley in the Village Tournament. The JV Tournament on Sunday, will be a 15 team event.

Saturday’s varsity tournament gets underway at 9am, playing on three courts at Adena High School Gym. Pool #1 will feature Adena, Chillicothe, Hillsboro, Logan Elm, McComb, and Buckeye Trail. Pool #2 will include Zane Trace, Circleville, Miami Trace, Huntington, and Berlin Hiland. Pool #3 will have Unioto, Waverly, Jackson, Saint Mary’s, and Paint Valley.

#1 Pool matches, which has six teams, will consist of 2 games to 12 points (cap), with the five team Pools #2 and #3 playing two games to 15 points each (cap).

Tournament play will see the top six teams advancing to the Gold, with the next five to Silver and the bottom five teams to Bronze. Tournament play will consist of best 2 of 3 games to 25 points with (no cap.)

Fans are admitted for free and a full concession stand will be available. No other food will be permitted inside the school on both Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday’s 15 team JV Tournament will have Adena, Logan Elm, Hillsboro, Chillicothe, and Paint Valley in Pool #1. Pool #2 is Unioto, Miami Trace, Circleville, Adena freshmen, and Westfall. Pool #3 is Sheridan, Huntington, Zane Trace, McComb, and Jackson. Sunday’s pool play starts at 9am.
