Another Chance Ministry Continues To Grow in Faith Based Recovery Work

Litter Media Live- Special Edition with Mike Smith

Presented By Accurate Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

When the faith-based behavioral health facility known as Another Chance Ministry started its residential project in 2017, they had one home that housed approximately 10 men. In 2022, that ministry has grown to 13 houses in the area with approximately 80 people residing.

This also includes both men and women programs with segregated housing. They also have recently started a high school out-reach program prevention program. ACM is an outreach of Zion Baptist Church in Chillicothe.

ACM typically has clients in their residential setting for approximately nine months to just over one year, helping residents with alcohol and drug related services, as well as outpatient services. Their goal is to see clients transition back into sober- independent living.

ACM Director Reece Winfield says they have an “80% success rate (client staying sober) for those who graduate from the program, compared to the national average success rate of just under 30% for those completing their programs.”

Winfield appeared with Mike Smith in a Thursday interview on Litter Media LIVE- Special Edition, where he added that most of ACM’s funding is private donations, with some grants.
