Bad Apple Disc Golf Tournament Taking Registrations for July 30th Event

Litter Media LIVE- Special Edition

Presented By Horizon Connects

Two local men behind creation of an organization working with at-risk youth in Ross County, appeared on Litter Media LIVE- Special Edition to discuss their mission and an upcoming disc golf tournament.

Life-long friends Deke Deacon & Micah Shanks started Project Badass for adult outdoor activities, but has since taken on a youth element. Deacon works with Diversified Services and Shanks is a Chillicothe Police Officer.

Litter Media’s Mike Smith spoke with both about their July 30th Disc Golf Tournament in Chillicothe.

Registration for the tournament gets underway May 31st and runs through July 28th.

Deacon says this is an off-shoot of their adult group known as Project Badass, which takes in hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities.

The youth element, which is Project Bad Apple, does litter pickups along bike trails, parks and other efforts to bring at-risk children together with their families.
