Camp Cattail will be hosting a 5K Run, Walk or Roll on May 14th with proceeds going to support their Summer Camp. The Annual Summer Camp is for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge.
The camp offers 212 acres of land which includes 2.2 miles of paved trails, a pond for fishing, shelter house, playground and restrooms, which are all handicapped accessible.
The shelter house and picnic grounds are available for reunions, receptions, birthday parties, church groups and other events. Primitive camping spots are available and electric and water hookups are ready for partial hookup. Also available is a handicapped accessible shower house and restrooms.
Camp Cattail Summer Camp will be held June 6-10 for the kids and June 21-24 for adults with more than 50 attending. Activities will include fishing, golf cart rides, crafts, hayrides, demonstrations from local fire, EMS, law enforcement agencies and baseball with the Chillicothe Paints.
