Chillicothe Boys and Girls track & field teams swept team titles Thursday among 14 schools at the Andy Haines Memorial Invitational at Paint Valley High School.
The Cavs won the boys team title with 118 points, followed by Jackson with 84 points. Paint Valley was third. The Lady Cavs win their team title with a whopping 164.5 points, outdistancing runner-up Adena with 78 points. Vinton County and Jackson tied for third place.
Two meet records were broken, with Paint Valley’s Cole Miller setting a new long jump record with a leap of 22 feet- 1/2 inch. Callie Wilson of Gallia Academy also set a new standard in the girls pole vault at 11 feet- 7 inches.
