Chillicothe’s Lady Cavs laid claim the Frontier Athletic Conference championship Thursday with a 7-1 win at Jackson.
Chillicothe built a 5-0 lead by halftime, before Jackson scored to make it 5-1. The Lady Cavs added two more goals to wind-up with a 7-1 win.
Chillicothe’s offense was led by Ali Mathis with 3 goals and 1 assist, Kiera Archer and Addie Price each added 2 goals. Haven Holmes and Emma Hansford each had 1 assist.
The Lady Cavs now await this Sunday’s tournament announcement as to where they head for the post-season.
So proud of the lady Cavaliers and my great-niece Allie Mathis as well as all of the other Cavaliers soccer teammates. Their willingness to play together and share the ball makes them a team to watch.
