As the days continue to get colder, the Chillicothe/Ross Public Library has opened a temporary warming station through the winter months to help those who need a place to stay warm during the day, Mondays through Fridays from 9am-2pm.

The warming station does follow the Library schedule and will be closed Friday, December 23rd and Monday, December 26th, as well as Monday, January 2nd.

In a related note, the Ross County Community Action will be having the Shelter open during the Christmas weekend cold snap. Here is the information from their Director: “Our regular shelter hours are 7pm-9am daily, but we will be keeping our shelter open 24 hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas. We are pretty much at capacity for sleeping cots overnight but would welcome people during the day if they need a warm place to go and something to eat. I would have people contact the shelter at (740) 702-7222 ext. 145 for more information.”
