Good Samaritan Food Pantry Letter To The Community

As the season of Thanksgiving and Christmas are upon us, the Rev. Dr. Jason Link, President of the Board of Ross Good Samaritan Food Pantry, has written a letter to the community seeking their generosity in helping the needy of our community.

Here is that letter to the community that Dr. Link sent out earlier:

“For many, the upcoming months will be filled with holiday family meals, with tables overflowing with an abundance of food. For others, they will wonder where their next meal will come from.

At the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, we seek to serve those who need a little help with one of the most basic necessities of life – food.

But we cannot do it alone. We need help from individuals and businesses and churches, just like you. You can help us to fulfill our Mission – “So no one goes hungry” – in our local Ross County Community.

If you are an individual and would like to make a financial donation, we would gladly accept those donations at our location at 255 N. Woodbridge Avenue in Chillicothe, or you can mail your donation to Good Samaritan Food Pantry, PO Box 1780, Chillicothe, OH 45601. If you are interested in volunteering at Good Samaritan, we would love to have you. Just give the pantry a call at 740-774-6303 and ask to speak with Mike Thompson, our Pantry Manager.

If you are a business or a church, we have several opportunities for you to become involved as well. We can always use volunteers and are always grateful for donations of food items. We certainly also accept monetary donations, that help us to purchase food items at a greatly reduced rate. If you are interested in partnering with us, please feel free to give the pantry a call at 740-774-6303 and ask to speak with Mike Thompson, our Pantry Manager.

In these upcoming months, when we are given opportunities to reflect on all that we are thankful for and to have times of sharing gifts with those we love, may we also remember, “the least of those among us”, and may we all do what we can – “So no one goes hungry” – in our local community.”
