Goodwill Offers Adult Day Camp in August

Goodwill of South Central Ohio will be hosting a day camp for adults with disabilities in August.

Dream Retreat will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1-5, 2022, at Buzzard’s Roost, 514 Red Bird Lane in Chillicothe. The camp is open to individuals with disabilities ages 18 and older who reside in Ross or Pike counties. There is no cost to attend.

Campers will participate in a variety of activities during the week including: hiking; a scavenger hunt; cornhole and other games; arts and crafts; music and dancing; gardening; tie-dye; karaoke; and off-site trips interacting with community agencies.

Those individuals interested in attending should contact their SSA for more details and to complete an application. Anyone with questions may also call Goodwill’s Mission Coordinator Cana Horner at 740-702-4000 Ext. 144.

Goodwill has been offering a summer day camp for individuals with disabilities since 2020. The camp is a joint venture between Goodwill, the Ross County Park District, and the board of developmental disabilities in Ross and Pike counties.
