The Ross County Park District has taken to their Facebook page to announce that a Recreational Trails Program grant is coming their way to extend a bike/walking trail in Chillicothe.
“We learned today (Wednesday) that the Park District was awarded a $150,000 RTP grant towards the construction of a half mile bike path extension to connect the Coppel Athletic Complex to where the bike path currently ends in front of the Dollar General on Western Avenue!”, according to the Ross County Park District’s Joe Letsche.
“This means you’ll be able to park at Coppel to access the bike path. Thanks to the land donors, the Coppel board of directors, and the Park District staff who put the work into making this happen.”
Letsche said they will have “more details coming soon.”
