Unioto volleyball is off to a (7-0) start to their season, wrapping up a big week with the championship from their own invitational tournament, Saturday.
The Shermans opened the tournament with a (25-17, 25-15) sweep of Vinton County, then an identical (25-17, 25-15) victory over Trimble, wrapped up with a (25-19, 22-25, 25-22) title win over defending champ Circleville.
Stat leaders for Unioto in the invitational were Ella Cutright and Jade Stewart with 23 and 14 kills, respectively, in three matches. Morgan Daniels had 34 digs in three matches.
Circleville advanced through the tournament with wins of (25-10, 25-13) over Waverly, (25-23, 25-23) over Marietta, then lost to Unioto in the finals.
