The remainder of the Huntington High School Boys and Girls Basketball 2023 season will finish away from their home court as a result of water damage done to the high school and middle school courts during the winter freeze over Christmas holiday.
School officials got the word Friday that the hardwood surfaces in both gyms have suffered too much water damage to be salvaged.
Waverly High School is allowing their facilities to be used for Huntington High School home games for the remainder of the 2023 regular season, with all but one game at the Waverly Downtown Gym. One boys game vs Piketon on February 7th will be played on the Waverly High School Campus Gym.
