A long-time Huntington Huntsmen boys basketball coach is coming out of retirement to lead their basketball program. Rick Uhrig has been named the Huntsmen’s coach, where he spent more than a decade compiling an impressive run.
Uhrig is the winningest coach in Huntington boys basketball history, is a two-time district coach of the year and twice named SVC coach of the year. Uhrig also led the Huntsmen to one SVC title, a sectional championship, and two district runner-up squads.
Uhrig comes back to the Huntington coaching sidelines after almost a decade of retirement, following the departure of Kyle Bradley to head to Waverly.
