Jr. Fair Livestock Superintendent OPening At Ross County 4-H & Extension Office

Ross County 4-H OSU Extension seeking a few new people to join our Jr. Fair Livestock Superintendent Team for our Sheep, Poultry, and Rabbit departments.

This entails a few planning meetings throughout the year for rule revision, judge selection, and critical thinking about how to improve, livestock weigh/tag/pickup.

The month of July usually requires some extra meetings to prep buildings and show bills, fair week is fairly hands on for weigh ins, meetings, barn presence, as well as show and sale leadership, and barn clean up.

Superintendents are also the primary people responsible for answering livestock questions as they arise throughout the year.

You make the species show/sales happen and you get the reward of knowing all the small smiles, lessons learned, laughter, and love of livestock happens thanks to your hard work.
