(Chillicothe) – The historic Majestic Theatre located in downtown Chillicothe is welcoming new changes to the Board of Directors in 2023. The Executive Committee will remain mostly unchanged with Gene Hoyet leading the organization as President, David Blosser as Vice- President, Melody Young as Treasurer, and Gene Betts as Secretary. Jeff Ragland will step onto the executive team to fill a vacant at-large position. Additionally, the Board of Directors welcomes three new board members: Tashia Norman, Cheryl Barlage, and Karen Blosser. These three individuals have been active volunteers at the Majestic Theatre which helps the organization achieve its goals. They have been dedicated and committed to the Majestic in efforts to uphold its mission and move the organization forward.
The current HVAC renovation is well underway and is expected to be completed in the coming months. This renovation will allow the Majestic Theatre to host programming throughout the entire year, address patron comfort, and provide moister controls to preserve and protect the interior of the theatre from damage caused from high levels of humidity.
Additionally, the Majestic Theatre is working on expanding its programming in 2023. A new sponsorship program is being rolled out to assist with the support on this endeavor. Sponsors have the opportunity with recognition such as being featured on the Wall of Fame, announcements prior to shows, represented on marketing materials, and many other ways.
