(Chillicothe) – The Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the debut of its official Visit Chillicothe Ohio mobile app. The mobile app, along with its website integration, provides users with an interactive experience to map out and plan the perfect visit to Chillicothe and Ross County.

App users can explore everything that Ross County has to offer in the palm of their hands and easily take that information with them. The integration with the website and app allows users to have a seamless experience to quickly personalize their “My Plan” itinerary. Users can sort through categories such as attractions, activities, events, outdoor recreation, and lodging facilities to find locations of interest and easily add them or edit their “My Plan.” Additionally, the app will conveniently utilize Google Maps to provide turn-by-turn navigation to help guide users to their destination.

This app was designed to assist visitors, but locals can utilize the app as well to find things to do, places to eat and shop, and discover what events are taking place or coming up. The Visit Chillicothe Ohio mobile app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices. The creation of the app was made possible through assistance from the Ross County Commissioners and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

“This is another step towards ensuring that visitors are aware of everything that Ross County has to offer and a helpful tool to assist in navigating to sites,” stated Melody Young, Executive Director of the Bureau. “This beautifully designed and simple to use app continues to help Ross County stay competitive in the destination marketplace and conveniently provide on-the-go assistance to travelers. The app also helps Ross County prepare for increases in visitation as the World Heritage inscription for the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks continues to move forward.”
