Three area conferences opened their track and field championships Tuesday with Day #1 activities.
In the Mid State League Buckeye: Teays Valley Girls and Liberty Union Boys have the early points lead. The Lady Vikings lead with 50 points, five points ahead of second place Circleville. Fairfield Union, Logan Elm, Bloom Carroll, Amanda CC, Hamilton Township and Liberty Union follow in that order. On the Boys side, Liberty Union leads with 52 points, with Fairfield Union at 43. Bloom Carroll, Teays Valley, Hamilton Township, Logan Elm, Circleville and Amanda CC follow. Finals are later this week. Check here for full results:
In the Frontier Athletic Conference: McClain Girls and Hillsboro Boys are the Day 1 leaders. On the girls side, McClain is trailed by Hillsboro, Miami Trace, Jackson, Washington and Chillicothe. Hillsboro leads the boys meet with McClain second, then Miami Trace, Jackson, Washington and Chillicothe. Finals are Thursday in Hillsboro. DAY #1 RESULTS HERE:
