(Chillicothe) – Ohio University Chillicothe has announced its upcoming series of engaging and enriching community education workshops for the fall season. Designed to cater to diverse interests and skill levels, these workshops provide a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages to learn, explore, and create together.

The Community Education series, hosted by OHIO Chillicothe, offers an array of workshops ranging from the light-hearted to the skill-focused. With options such as comedy, podcasting, basket weaving, candle making, henna art, and needle felting, participants can immerse themselves in an exciting world of creativity and learning.

The fall session of workshops will commence on August 28, 2023, with the highly anticipated event “Scents and Sangrias.” This delightful evening will offer participants the chance to delve into the art of candle-pouring with local business owner Emma Martin, while Tara Gillum guides attendees through the process of crafting refreshing sangrias.

For those seeking a touch of humor, the accomplished local comedian Lori Graves returns to lead the popular “Beginning Comedy Workshop.” Aspiring comedians will have the chance to refine their comedic skills under her guidance, culminating in an entertaining performance featuring the newly minted comics.

Throughout the fall, OHIO Chillicothe will host a diverse range of workshops led by guest instructors. Highlights include “Henna 101” class, an introduction to the captivating world of henna artistry. Additionally, beginners and enthusiasts alike can partake in “Pickleball for Beginners,” as well as various basket weaving classes designed to foster a sense of craftsmanship.

“We love bringing together talented instructors and with groups of enthusiastic community members eager to gather, learn, and create,” said Administrative Assistant Ann Holmes, who coordinates the workshops. “We welcome community members from Chillicothe and the surrounding area to participate in these workshops that offer a little something for everyone, whether you are looking to try something new, or hone your skills at something you already enjoy.”
