Matter Of Balance classes will be offered to older adults at no cost at the Pickaway County Library from August 8th through August 31st. This series is offered in partnership with the library, the Central Ohio Area Agency On Aging and OhioHealth Berger.

Matter Of Balance focuses on managing concerns about falls and emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. The series consists of eight 2-hour classes held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for four weeks at the Main Library in Circleville.

Certified local coaches will lead class discussions about causes and prevention of falls. Participants will learn how to control falls and practice mild exercises that will improve balance, strength and flexibility. Participants will also learn about changes to make in their homes to reduce the risk of falling. Exercises in the program can be done by most individuals and many are done while seated.

Class size is limited to 20 and reservations can be made by calling 740-477-1644 x 0.
