Amanda Collins says- “This organization provides recreational programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. The swim camp focuses on helping each participant (age 3 and older) work toward their individual aquatic goals. We work on learning new swim skills, improving existing skills with a daily emphasis on life-saving water safety skills in and around aquatic environments.”

“In the past, we partnered with Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio and Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities to bring this program to Chillicothe last year and it was a huge success. This year we hope to help more individuals with disabilities learn to swim safely!”

Collins says without local sponsorship, the summer swim camp would not be possible. “This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of local companies who provide valuable products and services so that we can support our instructors and participants. Collins added that donations help in various ways. “We’d be able to reduce enrollment costs, provide meals to volunteers, and reduce overall costs.”
