(Chillicothe) – The Ross County Park District is seeking public opinion on the proposed addition of a steel-framed, wood-decked observation platform that will be positioned behind the natural rock lookout located on the South Point trail at Earl H. Barnhart Buzzard’s Roost Nature Preserve.
The platform will be positioned to provide an elevated view of the Paint Creek Gorge below. The project is not anticipated to impact any environmental resources, and funding for the project is being sought through a NatureWorks grant.

The public is invited to discuss the project at a special meeting scheduled for May 20th, 8am-8:30am in the A-Frame located at Buzzards Roost Nature Preserve.
