RCCVB Presents Annual Pineapple Awards For Community Hospitality

The Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitor’s Bureau conducted their 7th Annual Pineapple Awards Luncheon at the Christopher Conference Center, Monday.

The awards go to individuals and organizations that celebrate the best of Ross County Tourism.

The top honor of Grand Pineapple Award went to local businessman Pat McAllister for his work to develop business and tourism with investments he’s made to the community over the years.

Other awards presented included the Volunteer of the Year to Jay Jackson of Hopewell Culture National Historical Park, for his beautification work of flowers and other plants he tends to at the park.  

The Front Line Associate Award went to Violet Tanner of Hampton Inn & Suites, the Behind The Scenes Associate Award to Adena Health System’s Ty McBee, and Director/Inn Keeper of the Year winner is John Payne of the Pump House Center for the Arts.

The Ross County Commissioners made a special presentation award to Melody Young of RCCVB for her tireless work with the Bureau along with serving on numerous committees to promote the county.
